IG of Police MD Abubakar set to remarry in September

According to a report by Sahara Reporters, Nigeria's Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar is getting ready to re-marry a year and a half after loosing his wife, Maryam Abubakar, to cancer. (Mrs Abubakar died in January 2012)

IG Abubakar will be engaging in a three-day wedding ritual to 35 year old Safiya (pictured above with him). Their wedding proper will take place on Saturday September 14th.

How My Father Broke My Virginity And Forced Me To Have Sex With Him – 17-Year-Old Girl Confesses

A 17-year-old female student of Takoradi Senior High School (name withheld) revealed in an interview that her biological father broke her virginity and has been having sexual intercourse with her for the past nine months, at his Adiembra residence near Sekondi.
According to the girl, her father who was sojourning in Spain returned to Ghana December last year and that was when it all started. “At the age of 16, I had not slept with any boy or man, but my father returned from Spain last December and started having sex with me,” she said.
The girl said her parents were divorced and her father was the one taking care of her so he threatened to stop supporting her if she told anybody. “If my father doesn’t pay my fees no one will do it. My mother does not have the means to take care of me in school so I was afraid to inform anybody about my ordeal; not even my mother,” the victim claimed.
She also revealed that her father stopped her from going to church in fear that she might inform some of the church leaders of what he had been doing to her.
The girl indicated that on Friday August 23, 2013, after she had returned from school her father demanded to have sex with her but she refused and he gathered all her belongings including school uniforms, text and exercise books and set them ablaze. “After that he still wanted to have sex with me so I run away to a neighbour’s house and it was there that I broke the news to some of the residents.
It was learnt that personnel of the Domestic Violence and Victims Support Unit (DOVSSU) of the Ghana Police Service in Sekondi yesterday arrested the father and placed him in custody pending further investigations, after a report was made. Also, a medical report form was issued to the 17-year-old girl to attend hospital after which the accused person was arrested.

• Talking about your wedding, there is this talk flying around that you got married as a virgin, how true is that??

Yes, it is true!

• How did you do it?

 This issue caused a lot of noise on the internet because a lot of people carried it with sarcasm. Some people were like I was trying to feel holier than thou.

The truth is it was part of my project. If I was really going to be a model to people, I had to let it show from my life. I can boldly stand to tell someone now that you can wait till you are married. I’m
not telling them that you will not have temptations, you will have, we are human beings, we have feelings, you will want to be kissed and touched but the truth is we can control it, we are not animals.

 

Sex is a huge responsibility, especially for the woman. Understand that you are a sexual being, you have passion, it’s good, it’s great but keep it. Ever since I was young I had always told God that I was going to keep myself till my marriage. It’s just a good thing and It’s a good thing to give your husband. He will know that you are just for him.

How did you come into the movie industry?
"I have been acting since I was eight in Ripples. That was how I got into acting. For movies, I think that should be in 1998 in Most Wanted. I met Torino (Emeka Ojukwu) in a bus and to my greatest surprise, he recognized me from Ripples. He asked me why I left the industry and later invited me to the audition for Most Wanted. I got a role. A waka pass and that was it."

"Yes, Kunle Coker was actually my boyfriend, but he did not bring me to the industry.
