Imported drugs belonging to Senator Babafemi Ojudu, Senator for the Ekiti Central constituency of Ekiti State were seized recently by the  National Agency for Foods, Drugs Administration and Control, NAFDAC in Lagos.
Reasons behind the seizure was unclear but the senator said the drugs worth millions of naira were planned to complement Governor Kayode Fayemi’s health care programme and be distributed  to  ailing members of his constituency but were seized last weekend.
According to reports, NAFDAC is yet to respond and the Ojudu said he’s been in touch with their authorities.
“I have contacted the NAFDAC boss, Dr. Paul Orhii, to intervene and I am sure ,the little hitch is commanding his attention,” he said
